The Schedule Is Now Available!

While it's a little later than we'd hoped, we're pleased to say that the schedule for this year's convention is now available from http://www.octocon.com/2011/docs/octocon-schedule-2011!
We'd love to hear what you think, so please drop us a Tweet or a Facebook comment or whatever it is you kids do these days, and let us know what you're most looking forward to. :)
Some potential highlights include:
- Answering Tharg the Mighty's Call - Our panelists discuss their love of all things 2000 AD, and how it has shaped them. This is a great opportunity to see creators geek out about their work, which is rather a lovely sight!
- "Women in Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Comics Panels": Do They Ghettoise Women? - Our guests discuss whether or not panels at conventions, which spotlight women who create the books and comics we love, are a necessity, or do they simply serve to make those creators feel marginalised. This could be very interesting indeed.
- "Writing for kids is easy!" - A panel on the difficulties involved with writing for children and young adults, and how it differs from writing for adult readers. We have four excellent YA authors on this panel, so you won't want to miss it!
- If At First You Don't Succeed... - In the wake of the controversies surrounding the recent DC Comics reboot, both fans and creators will debate how one should start fresh when trying to overhall a universe.
And of course you don't want to miss John Higgins' Guest of Honour Panel, The Golden Blasters, or our Saturday Night 21st Birthday Bash! In the meantime, we'll highlight some more excellent-looking panels over the weekend, so stay tuned to Octocon.com, and make sure you've got your memberships! ;)
